Going to the Cotati Accordion Festival at the end of August is a family tradition (now that we have a family!) This is the site of Jeff and Melissa's "official first date" in 1998. We have been to the all the fests since then. (Well, actually, we listened and danced from several blocks away during the 2001 festival as we were in the process of moving into our little nest on Lincoln Avenue to prepare for Eiche's arrival. Oh, yeah, and Jeff took a miss in August of 1999 as he was in Ireland doing some work with Dataway. Melissa went with her mom that year.)
Melissa, that soppy romantic, wanted to get married at the festival--I can't remember why we didn't go this route. Maybe Neta wouldn't come? Couldn't afford that much cake? Sigh....
