Intended as a short game (a week or so) to exercise TheScholarsGame before trying out ScholarsOfTheGrandCarta.
Here's a premise we can work from, or refine.
Premise
The capital is abuzz with talk after the events at Princess Alexandra's presentation ball. Rumors abound of behavior inappropriate to the occasion and to the station of persons involved. Some suggest that the royals' apologists are hushing things up as best they can, and that their critics are making much out of nothing. Prominent guests are refusing to answer questions. You were a guest, staff member, entertainer, or intruder at the ball. How do you explain what happened? How did the other participants misinterpret what went on?
Setup
Each Player takes a Character who has the role of a guest, serving staff, entertainer, or intruder at the ball.
When creating a Character page, tag it by including ScandalPlayer[2] at the end of the text. Each player will have one character. ScandalPlayerSample.
Rules of Play
Use Philmagpie's rules for Main Entry and Footnote as described TheScholarsGame.
Use the Telephone Pad variation, where the Main Entry letters are divided into 8 turns:
When creating an Entry page, tag it by including ScandalEntry[1] at the end of the text. Also tag it with the appropriate Category. ScandalEntrySample.
Categories for Scandal at the Ball, and some notional entry titles:
On the first turn, players may freely choose a name for their Main Entry page.
After the first turn, players must check the ScandalEntryList? page. If there are named but not yet created pages (PhantomPages) listed among that turn's letters, the player must choose a phantom page which another player created as their next main entry topic. Only if there are no suitable phantom pages may a player make up a new Main Entry topic name.
