QueenHydra is a thoroughly practical and unfrivolous ruler, and ends up taking on perhaps more than she should, just so that she can see it done. It seems that her one real self-indulgence as a Queen is a keen interest in architecture and vast building projects. If you are a worker in stone, having QueenHydra as a sponsor will keep you busy indeed, making sculptures the size of a WhaleAzure, buildings, causeways..
The rest of the DeepCourt Troika does little to limit her ambitions, and I wonder in fact if they have much power to do so. All she might need to do to thwart a loss of funds to a construction is vaguely feign illness.

My Queen is the most frighteningly beautiful person I have ever met. Heads always turn when she enters a chamber. It is only fitting that her surroundings magnify her beauty as nacre does a pearl.
