And the waters roil and churn, wine dark and ruddy blue,
The ways will open
The wards will break
And our greatest foe will rise beneath the Smoking Lake."
It's difficult to translate, but the little rhyming bit at the end of each section is quite catchy. Basically, something about how the PilgrimageOfTheChords is the only way to stop SmokingLake from becoming a gateway (or Door perhaps?) to some godsforsaken place full of demons. Ridiculous, I know. But still I visited all the shrines just in case. I'm not still convinced it doesn't refer to an uprising by the MoonShadowWarriors. They have every reason to kill us all.

You know, the seas turn wine-dark rather often, that's just the nature of storms and light. It is certainly discomfiting, to think of even a great foe, let alone a greatest, rising from the Smoking Lake.
I'm more worried about wards breaking than some foe rising up. We've sealed many a creature in the deep that we could not kill.
