WildHarvest is a right of nobility parceled out to lesser nobles and then sold to individuals, as well as groups (usually towns or other communities) who pool resources to pay for the right to forage and hunt in noble territories. These rights are seasonal and given in 'stakes' to be used or sold under the watch of LadyPrecedent in the HighCourt and by QueenHydra in the DeepCourt. Poaching is, naturally, a regulated crime.
Bidding for hunting stakes can be rather pitched depending on how much a local lord may have or want to sell versus the availability of other food sources or the stocks of game.
Of course, if tax rolls have been lacking, a lord may be eager indeed to sell their WildHarvest off as completely as possible, or forge stakes.
