Front Page WindHarps

There are, in my understanding, two main sorts of WindHarps, and a third, more uncommon type.

The first, much better known, are those placed prominently near the PlainOfTheLabyrinth?, welcoming pilgrims with their thrumming and singing and recalling the PilgrimageOfTheChords through their sounds. Several of the shrines on the PilgrimageOfTheChords have similar WindHarps.

There are other WindHarps tuned to collect chordic energy, and these are set up in places where both wind and etheric energy currents are strong. Collecting chordic energy is less hazardous than filling LightningBottles, but it has its occupational complaints, including loss of hearing or agitation upon hearing certain sounds. Depending on how collector WindHarps are set up, there may be a deadening of sound in their vicinity or a barely perceptible vibration that gives those present, well, I would have to say it, the willies.

In a few places, there are WindHarps set up to repel pests such as MonoAera. In this case, the whine or shriek is typically irritating to people nearby, but its tone is set largely above human hearing in ranges most disturbing to the pests.

No, I haven't heard anything about calling Wyverns with WindHarps. That would be foolhardy.
