A WinderWave is a classical design of DeepCourt vessel, meant for submersion and sailing upon the surface according to the needs of the piloting crew. It requires a store of VisViva?, not for fuel but to manipulate the weight of the craft so that it may sink or float on command.
These ships are falling more and more out of use as craft amphibious to the air gain popularity and as more landers seek out submersibles that don't fill with water in order to stave off the pressure of the deeps.
