A copse of bloodleaf trees that mark the perimeter of the PlainOfTheLabyrinth?. Much ado is made of their deciduous nature; the NilloWixNight falls after the last crimson drop has stained the earth.

It's also rumored that the ghost of WithwinTally has taken a hand in pruning them from time to time but this is patently false.

Ghost stories?

Well, certainly some lost in the profound absorption of walking the Labyrinth have been mistaken for being ghost-possessed. But it's not like that at all. Well, not really.

When I was a HighGuard mandatory guest a sergeant swore on his honor that he'd seen said apparition. I know he's an honest sort, he's now my son in law.

Of course I never get to see him or my eldest daughter these days but I suppose that's the price one pays for living the sweet trade.

Still, I wish I could see the grand kids once in a while.
