The Laberenz family was displaced when the XerxinePeninsula was annexed to the DeepCourt, and they have been in the unenviable position of being..guests on other noble's land. They aren't a group to be crossed, although the LadyKeys may have done by closing the VaultOfShame?..we'll see.
The LordKeeper's staff were the most tedious busybodies I could imagine. But they seemed to get things done. I watched from the gallery atop the clerks' pool, and the rhythmic scratch of pen and flutter of paper was strangely mesmerizing, as was the swish of the robes of the pages constantly filling and emptying the clerks' trays.
They did make a fine parade of folly on NilloWixNight. Who would have thought?
