PoisonLakes

There are thankfully very few Poison Lakes. One's in MisthomeIsland, another's deep in the KestrelPeaks and a third lies somewhere near the ZebraAtoll. As for the rest, chances are those who found them are dead.

Poison lakes will kill you, dearies. If their fumes don't finish you then their waters will eat your boat. You'd have to be daft to swim in one.

They only living creatures that make use of these are the VileWyvern?. Poison Lakes are their spawning grounds, how lovely.

Worse yet for the traveler who does not know the danger, often there are no perceptible fumes as long as the lake is not disturbed. So many pass in safety, even sipping of the waters and knowing not their peril.

When comes a change of season, a landslide, or a thunderstorm, the lake's waters overturn, belching suffocating vapours into its valley and down the canyons.

Inglorious, to say the least.

I've heard that DoctorWintertop may be investigating the cause of these lakes and their bilious properties, but in a manner where someone else takes the primary risk of collecting water and soil from the area and delivering it to him. The People don't seem to have much of a fear of being caught unawares by these hazards, I must say. Perhaps someone should connect the doctor with them?
