RotFin

An affliction that comes to Mer and Phoecenni who linger in stagnant or polluted waters. There are many different strains of RotFin, but they're all potentially deadly. The ZebraAtoll is notorious for the commonality of this disease among those who live nearby.

YellowLime is a rather effective preventative, though it has an unpleasant smell. Not as unpleasant as some of the still waters its meant to treat.

Comments, addenda, quibbles, yes-ands

To have RotFin is a sign of poverty to the Mer. A noble who is unfortunate enough to contract it is laughed out of court.

RotFin is also Mer slang for Phoecenni or drylander feet.

I'd recommend not using it as the Mer do, especially in CuttlefishBay, you're likely to get the tar beaten out of you.
