BlackOctopusRum

BlackOctopusRum is truly, completely, deeply black. I have punished intemperate students by seizing theirs and using it as ink, and it was not disappointing. Like any good rum, it tastes fiery and sweet, but with an unmistakable sea-and-salt tone gained by the following adulteration process; octopi from CuttlefishBay are sotted in barrels of unfinished rum and cane juice and their ink is milked into it.

It is consumed neat, preferably in small vessels of GallantIvory. It is not traded out of the region, though I have heard it is available on the FlightSerendipitous. An airship casino, I'm not sure LadyPrecedent will approve of what her son is doing.

Be wary of knockoffs. I ran into some poor dears who stumbled upon a crate of counterfeit black octopus, drinking the stuff turned them loony.

My guess? DeritriaEleven 's taken steps to sour the market for all sources but her own.

This stuff is lethal. And delicious.

Last time I overindulged, I was aboard a small trade vessal from the ArchebellochTradingCompany fleet, in the company of the Shark and my lost love NalaPirouette. Nala finally told me about her mysterious mentor, the BaronessaAcaraDeLaRook. I had known that Nala was involved in some morally precarious business business, but I didn't know she worked for the Murderwitch or what exactly she was looking for in her errands. DeritriaEleven seemed to think the whole thing was hilarious. We had an awful row about it and for the first time I ended up alone in my bunk.

Needless to say, I slept uneasily on the SkippingSunset? that night despite my incredibly luxurious sheets.
